Mysql queries

So, I have learned a great deal more than I knew yesterday about Mysql and WordPress databases and I still know practically nothing. What I think I know is that unless I can get inside my back-end and do some troubleshooting on plug-in php scripts, the whole decision on whether or not to find a new hobby will have been made for me.

Bluehost is not providing much in the way of assistance here. “We don’t do troubleshooting” the tech support agent said.

Well.

  1. Well…

This doesn’t sound good. Apparently it’s got you so rattled you’re being sloppy with language:

unless I can get inside my back-end…

*trying very hard not to form a mind-picture*

  2. I’m not sure what any of that means (I was a liberal arts major, you know), but I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you’ll work it out…

  3. And I have no idea where that icon/avatar graphic came from either. Kind of hypnotizing.

  4. Many is the O-6 I’ve known fully capable of getting his head “in his back-end”…

  5. Standing eagerly by for resumption of normal programming.

Despite the occasional glitch, your gymnastic contortions, or thoughtful ruminations, bring great pleasure to your followers.

  6. @Lex, There is no easy way through this, but let’s try. First, look at your hardware and disk operating. What are they? Don’t do anything radical. You had hardware, DOS and software that was running your blog and now it’s …. noncompliant. Go back in your mind, was there any kind of change in the status of your system, a new plugin, a new application, upgrade, this could be automatic or an installation? Then start with a system utilities or diagnostics application and let them do a check of your hardware and system. You just may find that it is just a corrupted file in your system.

About Bluehost, there a place for people like that, my sense there, just might be somebody willing to punch their tickets.

    Good luck!
